Unit seems to be sparking when water temperature is changed, Personal Hygiene, hose is leaking were it connects to the Unit/Hand shower: Pressure exceed 200kpa – 200KPA pressure valve needs to be installed (if leaking due to pressure, the unit will need to be replaced) Unit not attached to connection nipple properly Versatile under counter and Personal Hygiene: Shower head is leaking were it connects to the shower after it has been opened: Unit is leaking where arm and shower meet: In most cases a damaged and/or Blown element will not damage the unit. Cleaning elements regularly with white vinegar will prolong element life. Water with a high calcium and potassium count also known as hard water will shorten the life of a element. If the main water supply feeding the unit has been disturbed and/or turned off, via burst pipe or on main road and/or on property, make sure that the unit is turned off and that all air locks have been removed before switching unit on. Only then can the unit be turned to desired temperature and water turned on. Make sure that the unit is in the off position and check to make sure that water is running through the unit, MAKE SURE ALL AIR POCKETS ARE OUT THE PIPE. Air is the number one problem in damaging elements. There is a couple of ways that a element is damaged. This could be over a period of time or whilst the shower is running. Water inlet cold – on average the units heats water between 15-20 degrees hotter then water entering the unit, so when water temp is low water flow needs to be reduced to increase water temperature. Water flow to high – reduce water flow – check water flow reducer is installed For the versatile under counter and the personal hygiene hand shower a pressure reducing valve of 200kpa needs to be installed All units come standard with little water flow reducers, and these need to be installed unless water flow/pressure is very low. As it is instant hot water the unit does need some time to heat the water up, so the faster the water travels through the unit the colder the water and slower the water passes through the unit the hotter the water. Normal conventional showers use around 15 liters per minute, Lorenzetti range from around 4-8 liters a minute. Lorenzetti Electric Water heating units work on low water flow. Check earth supply from council – strengthen earth supply Cable is faulty – Check cable and connections Using RCCB or GFCI type circuit breakers, these are to sensitive Wrong size cable to Circuit Breaker – Make sure it has its own independent feed Wrong size cable to unit – Check recommended size on unit Circuit breaker wrong size – check recommend size on unit Make sure that each Water Heating Unit has its own independent Isolator switch of the right size as stipulated on each unit * Make sure Circuit breaker has its own independent feed from the Earth Leakage, with a 4mm Cable. Wrong size circuit breaker – refer to point 2) Circuit breaker tripping Element is damaged / check element - refer to point 6) Damaged Element. Cable over 30m long / if longer then 30m increase cable size Plugged into wall socket/ needs to go direct to D.B board Make sure cable size is correct, as stipulated on each unit. This can include both new and old installation. These are common problems not covered by the warranty: The Electrical connection must be done by an electrician.(this is only for the first time only, as the head unit will retain water inside) VERY IMPORTANT: Before using for the first time run unit on cold until the head unit is full. Please note that using the correct electrical wire will ensure optimum use of this unit. Connect the unit with 4mm wire from the unit to your DB Box. Connect a 30/32 Amp circuit breaker in the DB box.Individually cover each wire with heat shrink or insulation tape.Connect the Green earth wire from the head unit to the green wire on the 4mm cable with a Ferrules. It does not matter which white wire is connected to red or black wires. Connect the two white wires on the head unit to the red and black 4mm cable with the Ferrules.Screw the head unit onto the arm so it is firm and tight and the shower head is horizontal to the floor. Please note this units run most effectively between 2 and 4 Bar water pressure. When run from gravity feed water tank this valve can be taken out. (This is only used for areas that have extreme water pressure). This valve is used when you run on Municipal pressure or where an external pump is used. Where the head unit screws into the arm, There is a small reducer valve, small clear plastic valve.
